1) Click the Start button, which is located in the lower-left side of your desktop.
2) Select Settings and click on the Control Panel.
3) Click on the icon labeled Select Add/Remove Programs.
4) Scroll through the list of installed programs to see if you can detect any version of the RealPlayer.
5) If you have the player, click it once and then click the Add/Remove button to uninstall the application.
6) A dialog box will appear asking you to confirm the removal of the program. Click OK.
7) Close the Add/Remove Program Properties and Control Panel windows.

1) Click the "RealPlayer 8 Basic is our free player link".
2) Fill out the information required and choose your operating system, language and internet connection from the pull-down menus, then press the Download FREE Real Player 8 Basic button.
3) Select the free version of the RealPlayer 8 basic that you prefer (depending upon your OS, you may have several choices) and click on the Download FREE RealPlayer 8 Basic button.
4) Select the location nearest to you.
5) When you are prompted to save the file from the File Download window, select Save the program to disk.
6) In the Save As window, save the file to your Desktop. Do not change the name of the file, and make note of the name as you'll need to find the file after it's downloaded.
7) Click the Save button. The download time will vary, depending upon the speed and quality of your internet connection.
8) Once the download is complete, you are ready to install the Player. Close all applications before proceeding with the player installation.
9) The file you saved is located on your Desktop. Locate the file and double-click it to activate the installation.
10) Follow the prompts to install the player.

2) Fill out the information requested, being sure to choose the appropriate version for your Macintosh Operating System.
3) Follow the instructions for downloading and installing the software.

1) RealPlayer 8 will automatically overwrite RealPlayer 7 and RealPlayer G2. It is not possible to have both RealPlayer 8 and RealPlayer 7 or RealPlayer G2 installed on the same computer. All of your custom channels and favorites will migrate from RealPlayer 7 or RealPlayer G2 to RealPlayer 8.
2) RealPlayer 8 will not overwrite RealPlayer 5.0 Plus and earlier unless you install RealPlayer 8 into the same folder as the older version.
3) You may need to use StuffIt Expander to decompress the downloaded file. If you don't already have this software installed, you can get it from Aladdin systems at: http://www.aladdinsys.com
4) Because we also use embedded players for some of our content, you will likely experience better success accessing our Real Player streaming content using the Netscape browser. You can download a free copy of Netscape for the Mac at: http://www.netscape.com/download
5) Should installing the Real Player present difficulties, please provide detailed information to RealNetworks Technical Support Engineers at: http://service.real.com/help/call.html

1) Go to your desktop and double-click the newly downloaded file.
2) Follow the instructions on your screen.

If there is a failure at any point during the installation of Acrobat Reader, the installer performs a complete uninstall. For this reason, it is important not to close the installer application by clicking its close box in the upper right corner of the background window after clicking the "Thank You" dialog box that appears at the end of the installation. If you wait for a second or two, the installer will automatically close the background windows after the installation is complete.
